Award Winning Journalist and Bestselling Author
Raised on Cape Cod and a Fryeburg Academy graduate, Casey Sherman is the bestselling author of five books, including "The Finest Hours"; "A Rose for Mary: The Hunt for the Real Boston Strangler"; and, "Black Irish, Black Dragon and Bad Blood: Freedom and Death in the White Mountains".
Sherman made international headlines with his re-investigation of the notorious Boston Strangler case in 1999 which was later chronicled in his acclaimed true crime bestseller - A Rose for Mary. Sherman is the nephew of Mary Sullivan, believed to be the last and youngest victim in the 1960s murder spree.
The Finest Hours is the gripping true tale of the US Coast Guard's most daring sea rescue off the shores of Cape Cod in 1952. The book was a runaway bestseller and one of the best reviewed books of the year. Bad Blood took Sherman from the high seas to the rugged mountains of New Hampshire to investigate one of the most shocking crimes in recent history - a deadly police shooting in Franconia, NH in 2007 that left two men dead and a community changed forever.
Sherman has appeared on dozens of television and radio programs including The Today Show, FOX News, MSNBC, CNN, The CBS Evening News, ABC World News Tonight, America's Most Wanted, The View, The History Channel, Discovery, The National Geographic Channel, NBC's Unsolved Mysteries and Dateline NBC.
