Guest Speaker: Suzanne Bump, Secretary of Labor and Workforce DevelopmentSuzanne M. Bump was appointed as the Secretary of Labor and Workforce Development for the state of Massachusetts in January of this year. She is a member of the Governor’s Cabinet, and is also one of the five members of Governor Patrick’s “development cabinet,” which works across agency and department lines to spur economic and job growth. Secretary Bump has been an outspoken supporter of labor and economic issues for over 20 years, including the successful reformation of the state’s industrial accidents program with the Workers’ Compensation Reform Act of 1991.
