An experienced Board of Directors for business owners
CEO Roundtable provides a forum for business owners to discuss and resolve issues that confront them on a day-to-day basis in a confidential setting. Drawing on the experience of seasoned professionals for solutions, topics range from human resource issues to sales, marketing, finance, succession planning and logistics.
How Does it Work?
CEO Roundtable runs from September to June, meeting one night per month for 2-2 1/2 hours. Members choose the night and rotate as host/hostess. Meetings are scheduled for the entire year in September so that everyone can arrange their calendars.
Each month's host or hostess provides the meal (anything from sandwiches or pizza to Chinese food or other favorite of the host/hostess). The host or hostess also sets the agenda topic for the evening. A meeting facilitator keeps the meeting focused on the topic. Each meeting allows time at the end to discuss member issues that may need immediate attention, and time for the previous month's host or hostess to report out on how they implemented the group's advice for their issue.
Meetings can be held at the owner's business so a tour can be provided or in the Chamber conference room (free of charge).
CEO Roundtable is a simple but extremely effective group.
Who can be a Member?
You must be a member of the Corridor Nine Chamber of Commerce and either be a business owner or the responsible manager of a business who reports to the owner. Only one type of business per group is allowed (i.e. competing business may not be in the same group). Early registration assures your place in a group. The success of the group depends upon all of its members participating in all of the meetings, to develop the necessary rapport, trust, and solid advice. Please be sure that your schedule permits you to make this time commitment.
Cost: $100 for the year. (But, remember, although you provide one meal, you get all of your other meals, wine, beer or soda, dessert and coffee and invaluable ADVICE free!)
